HP Newquist visited the 93.3 KDKB Morning Show in Phoenix to discuss all those things that will kill you. Host J.R. Edwards just happened to be in a band with Newquist more years ago than they care to talk about. J.R. sang and Newquist played lead guitar. Neither could decide if they'd come a long way or not, but they are both proof that being in a rock band does not necessarily have to kill you.

HP Newquist and Rich Maloof spent an afternoon with Samantha Heller on the DOCTOR RADIO program over at Sirius Satellite Radio. The timing was excellent as the whole world wanted to figure out the particular way in which Michael Jackson had just Moonwalked off the Earth. Of course, if we knew that, we'd probably be able to extort money from every tabloid on the planet. Anyway, go visit Sam at her website and listen to her on Channel 114 over at Sirius and 119 on XM. She's a pro.

Rich Maloof put the C in Country when he and his blazing saddle showed up on the Morning Country Club at Country 94.1 KFKF in Kansas City. You know, until this interview, we never even thought to put rodeo sports in the first edition of TWKY. Next time, they will be front and center . . . along with being a Rodeo Clown.

HP Newquist did back-to-back promos for THIS WILL KILL YOU. Starting late at night on The Dom Giordano Show (1210, The Big Talker in Philadelphia), he got to play up the hometown hero of TWKY -- funeral director Bill McGuinness, the Philly local who wrote the entertainingly macabre "afterword" to the book. Then it was morning time in Albuquerque, where HP was treated to sunup with the morning crew led by TJ Trout at 94Rock, New Mexico's only real rock. Man, they sure loved the David Carradine story down there.

Rich Maloof did desert duty by appearing on NewsTalk 790, KNST in Tucson with host Jim Parisi. They really liked his take on black widows and train track deaths, which apparently are legitimate concerns down there north of the Mexican border.

Rich Maloof was interviewed on 101.1 FM WILK in Scranton, by host Sue Henry. We'll post a link as soon as it's up. Sue loved Rich so much, she let him take calls. But he's not quitting his day job.

The authors were both featured on the Elliot In The Morning show, heard in Baltimore and Washington DC on DC 101 FM. Elliot may just make THIS WILL KILL YOU his new Bible -- and his new best friend. Listen to the show here.

HP Newquist showed up on the Cliff Roles Show on 1280-AM, WTMY in Sarasota, Florida. Cliff has a twisted British sense of humor that seemed to find something warm and comforting in the pages of THIS WILL KILL YOU. We couldn't agree more. So listen up.

ONLINE:

Goodreads.com is loving THIS WILL KILL YOU more with each passing day. Perhaps more than is healthy.

The FreeTime blog has some kind words about the authors and illustrator Jim Shinnick. And none of it was paid for. Really. We're not lying. Honest. We swear. We're not.

New Moon Design has an interview with HP Newquist. Not to mention some cool illustrations. Click on over there right now.
